August Round-Up 2020

It's the last day of the month, which means it's time for a monthly round-up. I'm so excited that August is over because September is my birthday month! I got up to some fun things in the month of August, so if you want to know all about it, just keep reading.

My Second Year University Experience: Academia

We have reached the final post within my second year university experience series! (wow what a mouthful). If you haven't read my other posts, please be sure to do so.

I saved this post until last because I was still waiting for my results to come through. My second year has been worth 25% of my final degree and I wanted to include what I got.

For those of you who don't already know, I study BA English Language. It is a 4 year course, however placement year is optional, meaning it can be bunked down to 3 years. I decided to opt out, for many reasons and with the virus, I'm even happier that I didn't do the year abroad like I originally thought about. This is going to be a breakdown of the modules I did and how I found my course this year. If anyone is interested in studying English Language, hopefully this will give you an idea of what it's like.

My Second Year University Experience: Finances

Welcome to part III of my second year university experience series! First of all, congratulations to A-level students who got their results this week and a place at university. A massive achievement, especially considering the circumstances. Hopefully my university posts will be a help to you as you start your journey. So far I've published my social experience and accommodation experience. If you haven't read those yet, please be sure to after this post! Today's post is going to be focusing on finances. Finances are a huge part of university life (it's not cheap), but not many people tend to talk about it. In this post I will be making a brief comparison to first year and go into how I've handled my money. If you haven't read my finance post for first year, you can check that out too.

Current Beauty Favourites: New In My Collection

There was a point when my love for makeup kind of faded and I wasn't interested in trying new products. I got really into fashion and my love for makeup was kind pushed back. I pretty much stuck to the same products and routine. Quarantine gave me lots more time to practice different makeup looks and watch more beauty videos on YouTube, IGTV and Tik Tok. Especially after watching way too many Tik Tok makeup reviews and hauls, my love for makeup grew again. That led to purchasing new products and finding some new favourites. I thought I would do a post sharing my opinions on products I've purchased over the last few months. Some are popular products and others aren't really talked about much. Just keep reading, to hear what I've been using.
