July Round-Up

Another end to a month, means another round-up! Lots of people have gone back to normal life (although it seems), but for the most part I've still been at home. I'm not convinced the country is in a position to be "normal" yet, so I'm in no rush at all. I'm definitely missing society but I'm trying to be as cautious as I can. In August I'll probably start to leave my house more, so hopefully my August round-up will be a great read. Most of the month has been spent at home, watching movies, doing bible studies and online shopping but I still wanted to share some more interesting parts of the month. If you want to know what happened in July, just keep reading.

My Second Year University Experience: Accommodation

Welcome to part II of my second year university experience series. If you haven't read part I, which focuses on the social aspect of uni, then make sure to check it out. I got really good feedback from that post so I'm very pleased. Today's focus is going to be on my living situation. For those of you who don't know, I'm from Birmingham and chose to stay here to study. I moved out in first year and lived in student halls. If you want to know about my experience living in student accommodation, I wrote a post a year ago all about it. This year, I stayed at home and commuted everyday. If you want to know about my experience commuting and living at home, just keep reading.

My Second Year University Experience: Social Life

Last year I did a series of posts, sharing my first year of university experience. All of the posts did really well and lots of people said they either related to my experience or were looking forward to having their own once they started university. A few weeks ago I did a poll on my Instagram asking if people would like to read about my second year experience and 100% of the voters said yes. This first post will be focusing on the social side of second year.

One Of Us Is Next Book Review [NO SPOILERS]

It has been a while since I have written a book review. University life got in the way, and as you can imagine, with being an English student my reading list was already quite long. Between lots of assignments. and dance life, I didn't have much time for personal reading. Obviously with the academic year ending, and lots of time on my hands due to quarantine, I've actually been able to read for pleasure again - hooray. So FINALLY I bring to you a long awaited (or maybe not but I'm writing it anyway), book review.

Today's book review is for One of Us is Next by Karen M.McManus. Some of you may be thinking 'hmm that sounds familiar', and that is because it is the sequel to a book I reviewed at the start of last year - One of us is lying. I loved the first book so of course when I found out the second novel was published at the start of this year, I had to add it to my TBR. The review I wrote for the first book is actually my most read blog post ever, so it seems like many of you loved it too! Or at least were intrigued by it. If you want to know my thoughts on One of us is next (without spoilers of course), just keep reading.
