In My Feelings Playlist

Anyone that knows me, know of my complete adoration for music. I can't go a day without music. Quite frankly impossible. I listen to music according to different moods or to change my mood. During this season where it seems like everyone is boo'd up, I've been getting in my feelings a fair bit. Don't get me wrong, I'm very much content being single right now and have absolutely no plans to change that any time soon, but I do love a good slow jam or R&B tune. Due to this sometimes I end up sitting in the dark with my ear phones in, longing for my other half (ew). Anyway, I got a request from Robyn (my bestie - she better be happy about this shout-out) to share my 'In my feelings' playlist after giving a snippet on my Snapchat private, so here it is. ENJOY

A Week In My Life: Uni

I was originally going to do this for reading week, however I totally forgot to make note of everything I did each day, so when it came to putting the post together, it was quite frankly not possible. So instead I'm going to share a random uni week in my life. ENJOY

November Academic Goals

I've had a couple requests to bring these posts back and of course I am all up for that. I wasn't able to have any goals for September/October because the semester just began but I have lots of goals for the month of November. Lets get straight into it!

I have three assignment proposals to write and send to my lecturers this month. I have a couple ideas but I need to choose some final options and get them approved before I can start. I'm actually looking forward to 2/3 of my assignments as they're all analytical and those are my favourite type of assignments to do. I find the analytical side of English fascinating.

After my proposals are hopefully accepted, one of the most important stages of my assignment is analysing data, but for that I need to actually have texts.
My goal is to collect all the data I need for my assignments so I can get started with the analysis.

We have 2 group presentations this month. I'm not a fan of group presentations but what can you do ay? I have already started working on them with the group but we still have lots to do. Wish us luck.

My first exam of the year is in a few weeks and I couldn't feel any less prepared for it. There is SO much content and I have no idea how I am going to remember it all for this exam but we'll make it work. I'm probably going to end up in the library everyday for a week just making flashcards. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

So these are my November goals! Let's pray I achieve them.

What are your goals for the month?
Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading,
Have a great day x

October Round- Up

The 10th month of the year has been completed! Only two months of 2019 left. Unfortunately I missed September's round-up, however I made up for it by posting a life update summarising everything I wanted to fill you guys in on. If you haven't read that post, make sure to check it out.
Today I am sharing some of the things that went on this month. There really hasn't been much but I hope you enjoy anyway.

I guess the main thing this month has been university life coming at me with full force. It has definitely kept me busy already. It wasn't this much work in first year. I went to the library about two times in first year (I preferred working in my flat), but I've pretty much been to the library everyday since starting year 2. I feel much more productive at the library than at home.

On October 25th we put my grandmother to rest. She had such a beautiful send off, and although it felt so surreal, I'm so glad it went well. We wore pink instead of black because it was her favourite colour and the wake was at a venue she would have ADORED. There was over 250 people at the service, which is an incredible turnout. She was very loved. I miss her lots but I'm glad we got to have that final bit of closure and say our last goodbyes (until we hopefully meet her again in paradise).

Before this month I hadn't worked in months; I believe my last shift was the end of July. I got really sick and had to cancel lots of shifts, then I went on 2 holidays. After that I was back at university and wasn't able to work. Before I knew it, it had been months of no work and my bank account started to become a little sad. Student finance definitely isn't enough to live off. I had one free Saturday so I worked at a gala dinner. It was actually a pretty fun shift and I'm buzzing for pay day. One off shifts aren't ideal but it's better than nothing. I look forward to Christmas season when I have lots of time to make money.

On November 1st I will be in my first public flash-mob. By the time this post goes up, it will have been done and dusted. I'll be sure to share about it in my November round-up. We have been rehearsing throughout the month and it looks really good. I'm excited to perform it. I've been in a flash-mob before but not a public one. It's actually on my Bucket List, so I'm looking forward to ticking it off.
